Summary
Malric, born Eric Malacchina in 1963, has had a rather unusual career path. While working as a private investigator in Paris to pay for his studies, he started to work towards an architectural degree and eventually turned to the field of information technology. Being an accomplished sportsman, he later graduated to become a body building and kung fu instructor. But his love for fantasy stories and art caught up to him and he decided to go back to studying. Therefore, he attended classes on scriptwriting at the Audiovisual Communication Institute (IMCA) and other classes at l’école des Beaux Arts (School of Fine Arts) both in Avignon, in the south of France.
More recently, Malric worked on cover art for various novels, wrote TV-oriented scripts as well as fantasy thrillers and directed a music video for a progressive rock band.
